Protectoseal Flame Arrestors
Protectoseal Flame arresters and Detonation arresters are passive mechanical devices which can be installed on a flammable storage tank nozzle or in a flammable vapour piping system. The arresters are designed to stop and extinguish any flame front propagating through the flammable vapour/air mixture under emergency conditions. We supply various types of Protectoseal Flame Arresters including end of line, in-line and vent-line.
The functions of both Flame and Detonation Arresters are:
- Under normal operating conditions - allow the efficient passage of vapour
- Under emergency conditions – stop and extinguish any flame front propagating through the flammable vapour/air mixture
